We always get asked, “When is the best time to visit NCF?” The honest answer? Whenever you can! But the fall season does hold a special place in my heart. Visiting the mountains of North Georgia in the fall is a magical experience. The autumn colors are in full swing in mid October, the temperatures begin to cool off, and everyone starts to slow down a little. Not to mention, the fishing is at its best! October always holds fond memories for my family and I. We would spend each fall break piled into the farmhouse for the week, hanging out with our cousins, grilling out, fishing in the creek, and making so many special memories. Now that we have a business here it looks a little different, but always so fun! Nowadays, we spend the weekends going on fishing trips, going on the sporting clays course, and visiting The Mill for lunch or dinner! We always encourage our guests to visit in the fall as well so you can make your own memories on the farm! Clients can always have their own Owenby family experience by staying at Grandads Farmhouse and joining us for a cast & blast day – sporting clays or quail hunting, fly fishing, and a meal at our new restaurant, The Mill at Noontootla. It has a huge outdoor space that is perfect for soaking up the views and perfect fall weather.
